Crushing our Vices
The Catechism of the Catholic Church says that a vice is a habit acquired by repeated sin in violation of the proper norms of human morality. Vices can weigh us down and cause worry, anxiety, and sadness. We sometimes focus so much on the vice itself, and how much we are struggling to overcome it, that it can bring us down even farther. Let’s, instead, turn our attention to the virtues that help us to crush these vices. Every vice has an opposite behavior or virtue. All of the meditations in this series will focus on a vice and what virtue will help you to conquer it. We will slowly add to the series during Lent 2023 so check back often. Join us in conquering our vices!
