Jessica Baldwin
Jessica Baldwin is a wife and homeschooling mother of five children. She began taking yoga classes after a health crisis in 2012 that had resulted in muscle atrophy, heart and brain injury as well as adrenal gland and nervous system trauma. Her doctor had recommended yoga for its physical benefits and her psychologist had also recommended it to help remedy the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety attacks and clinical depression. After attending classes almost daily for six months, and suffering from the conflict within her soul daily, she knew in her heart that Christ was asking her to seek healing through a means that did not conflict with her faith.
Finding Pietra Fitness was truly an answer to her prayers! For the next two years she practiced with the DVDs gaining strength of body, mind, and soul while simultaneously studying to become an instructor.
She is excited to help spread the good news regarding Pietra Fitness, to grow in holiness alongside the students in her classes, and to reach out to special groups that are seeking a retreat for the whole person; especially those who find life burdensome and who suffer from physical, mental, emotional or spiritual trauma.
“There is a light in this world, a healing spirit more powerful than any darkness we may encounter. We sometimes lose sight of this force when there is suffering, too much pain. Then suddenly, the spirit will emerge through the lives of ordinary people who hear a call and answer in extraordinary ways.” –Richard Attenborough, from the film Mother Teresa
Jessica is a Foundation 2 Instructor and is certified to lead Gentle, Intermediate, and Advanced classes.
