The Road to Certification

Three Parts. One Mission.

The Pietra Fitness Academy is divided into three carefully designed parts, each building on the previous one. Successful completion of all three parts leads to Pietra Fitness Instructor Certification.

Part 1 - Foundations

Establish a strong spiritual and educational foundation by exploring the mission, philosophy, and principles of Pietra Fitness while developing habits of prayer, study, and personal practice.

Part 2 - Integration & Practice

Bring what you've learned into movement, breath, and practice.

Part 3 - Application & Leadership

Develop the practical knowledge and teaching skills necessary to confidently and safely lead Pietra Fitness classes through anatomy, cueing, practice teaching, posture evaluations, and instructor mentorship.

How you will grow

Becoming a Pietra Fitness Instructor is about more than developing the skills to lead a class. Throughout your training, you will be invited to grow personally and spiritually as you prepare to serve others.

Deepen Your Life of Prayer

Daily mental prayer is an essential part of Pietra Fitness training. You will learn from the wisdom of St. Teresa of Avila and be encouraged to develop a consistent habit of spending time with Christ in prayer—allowing your relationship with Him to become the foundation from which you live and serve.

Learn to Lead from a Place of Prayer

Perhaps most importantly, you will discover that leading a Pietra Fitness class begins long before you stand in front of participants. It begins with your own prayer life. As you deepen your relationship with Christ, you will be better prepared to authentically invite others into prayer while guiding them through movement.

Grow in Confidence & Leadership

As you progress through the Academy, you will be challenged to step beyond simply participating in Pietra Fitness and begin preparing to lead others. Through study, practice, mentorship, and eventually practice teaching, you will develop greater confidence in communicating, guiding, encouraging, and serving those entrusted to your care.

Develop a Heart for Service

Pietra Fitness instructors are called to more than excellent teaching. They are called to serve. Your training will encourage you to lead with humility, compassion, integrity, and a genuine desire to help others grow in health and holiness.

Grow in Understanding of the Human Person

Through Catholic teaching, study, reflection, and movement, you will explore the dignity of the human person and God's design for the body, mind, and soul. You will be encouraged to see caring for the body not as an end in itself, but as part of faithfully stewarding the gift of the whole person.

Build Your Own Cathedral

The Cathedral of You™ is woven throughout the Pietra Fitness experience. Just as a cathedral is built carefully over time, you will be encouraged to recognize that growth happens gradually—through prayer, virtue, faithful practice, perseverance, and grace.

The goal is not simply to become a better instructor, but to become better prepared to faithfully serve the people God places before you.
